If the officials can manage to not ruin the atmosphere then that would be a miracle because every time there is a proper feel good football moment like this the refs and the suits seem determined to make it about themselves and I swear some of them must hate seeing fans actually enjoying a day out without some nonsense decision or stupid stoppage turning it into a farce, just let the club have its moment and let the supporters be happy for once instead of having the whole thing flattened by incompetence and ego and all the usual rubbish that follows football around these days

nah i dont buy this whole old club = automatically better league thing some of you are acting like every team with a bit of history should be handed romance points forever and thats just not how football works they still have to earn it and actually do something on the pitch
