Enzo's post has England rattled

i dont even support either side and im still enjoying the meltdown because it feels like everyone is pretending to be above it while being absolutely fuming inside and thats the best part really
 
I can understand why England fans are annoyed because it is obviously meant to sting, but at the same time this is exactly the sort of thing that gets posted after a defeat and everyone knows it. The reaction has been huge because it touches a nerve and that is why it works so well. People can call it childish but football has always had that side to it and now half the comments are acting like it is the end of civilisation when really it is just a player winding up the other lot and everyone losing their heads over it
 
It is a pretty standard bit of trolling, but the choice of song makes it feel more pointed than random. The outrage is probably bigger than the post itself warrants.
 
Honestly this whole thing is exactly why social media and football are such a cursed mix because one little post and suddenly every fanbase is acting like theyve been personally attacked and then you get the same old arguments about banter and respect and who can take it and who cant and it never ends and the funniest bit is the people saying they dont care are always the loudest ones in the replies so obviously they care a bit and now its just gone from a simple wind up to a full blown meltdown which is probably exactly what he wanted and fair play in that sense because he has managed to make an entire day about himself without even saying much
 
This is classic post-match trolling: simple, targeted, and guaranteed to get a reaction. The only real debate is whether fans are more annoyed by the message or by how effectively it landed.
