Nah Fulham were never ready for that kind of start and Chelsea have just taken advantage like any good side would, people saying its already over are chatting pure nonsense because theres a long game left and plenty can still happen
 
Fulham fans didnt even get to finish their first sip and Chelsea have already done the business, absolute scenes if you are in the ground and absolute pain if you are in the home end
 
The key detail is how quickly Chelsea turned the first transition into a chance. Fulham were not organised enough to stop the move at source.
 
I was in the pub when the goal went in and the whole place just erupted because half the room were Chelsea lads and the other half were Fulham or just neutral misery merchants and honestly it felt like nobody had even got comfortable before it happened, one bloke was still trying to order a pint and another had not even sat down properly and then suddenly everyone is shouting about Brazil and Palmer and whether this means anything at all and of course it probably does not mean everything but in that moment it felt massive and you get those rare starts where the whole atmosphere changes before the first proper debate has even begun
 
chelsea just came out and said no to all that pre match talk and fulham look like theyve not even had time to get their legs moving yet its mad how quick the mood changes when a team scores that early
 
People acting like Fulham have somehow been exposed as hopeless after one minute are chatting nonsense because early goals happen and they do not automatically mean the other side is finished, it just means Chelsea were sharper at the start and Fulham got caught cold, which is annoying but not some grand moral failure, and if anything it is the kind of moment that should make the game more interesting because now we get to see how Fulham react instead of pretending the match is already a procession
