That is one hell of a throw-in from Nader Mohammadi. You do not see many like that these days, and it looks absolutely ridiculous in the best possible way.

Feels like the sort of thing that would have every manager in the league suddenly pretending they love long throws. Arteta probably already has a folder open somewhere. Whether you love it or hate it, you have to admit it is a proper weapon.

Also fair play to Spartak Kostroma for having a defender who can basically launch it into the box from a different postcode. Human catapult stuff, that.

That is exactly the sort of thing that gets managers pretending they rediscovered long throws overnight. It looks ridiculous but if it lands in the box like that, nobody is laughing for long tbh

You can see why people get excited by it because the delivery is so extreme. At the same time, it does feel like one of those things that looks more dangerous than it actually is if the rest of the team do not attack it properly.

That is genuinely outrageous and I do not care if people say it is just a gimmick, because when you see a throw come in like that it changes the whole mood of the game. Suddenly everyone in the box is on edge, everyone is scrambling, and the defending team looks like they are dealing with a bloody set piece from hell. I know people will say it is all about the angle and the timing and whatever, but mate, just look at it, he is basically hurling the ball like a weapon and it feels unfair as hell, proper old school chaos football and I am absolutely here for it

teams never seem ready for this sort of thing because they defend the first contact not the launch itself and if a side has a lad who can sling it that far you almost have to drop deeper and crowd the box or just accept the chaos tbh

Everyone acting like this is some hidden tactical masterstroke when half the time it just turns into a scramble and a clearance but fair play to the lad he can absolutely hurl it and that alone is enough to make people lose their minds
