If FIFA are going to do this, then at least keep it as a simple post-tournament keepsake and not a whole marketing campaign. The more it stays in the background, the easier it is to see it as harmless rather than another forced bit of spectacle.

I do not mind it as long as it stays optional in spirit and does not become the main story. The football should still be the thing everyone remembers.

At the end of the day it is probably nothing more than a bit of shiny memorabilia for the winners, and most of the noise around it is just people reacting to the idea of FIFA borrowing from other sports, which is understandable even if it is a bit overblown imo

im not even mad about the ring itself really its just the whole feeling of fifa always wanting to make everything bigger and louder and more of a show and that gets on my nerves because i just want the football and the emotion and none of the extra fluff but i know they will keep doing it anyway and everyone will argue for days
