this is exactly why alternate angles are so dangerous because one view makes it look like a normal goal and the other one turns it into a total humiliation, and people online immediately start acting like theyve watched the whole match and not just a ten second clip, but the reality is Türkiye just played it well and the defender got caught, end of story, football is full of these moments and every fanbase does the same thing when it happens to the other side, suddenly its a comedy clip and everyone is acting like the lad should hand in his boots
 
the big thing for me is the timing of the press and the body shape, once the defender is half turned you are in trouble because the attacker can attack the space either side and the whole back line has to scramble, that is why these goals look simple after the fact
 
I dont buy the idea that he was somehow finished because of this one moment the clip is bad for him sure but people are acting like he personally lost the match on his own and thats just lazy
 
The second angle makes it much clearer why people are reacting so strongly. You can see the defender get isolated and the move becomes almost impossible to recover once the attacker has the advantage. It is a good example of how one small mistake can decide a moment
 
I was in the pub when a similar thing happened to us a few years back and I swear the whole room reacted the same way the second angle always makes it worse because one bloke at the bar is shouting that the defender has been done dirty and another lad is already laughing like he has seen the goal of the season, and then you end up arguing over whether it was a great attack or just a bad mistake while the pint goes warm in your hand, football does that to people, you think youre having a normal night and then one replay turns everyone into a tactical expert and a comedian at the same time
