- Armadale U23 have lost four of their last five league matches, conceding 17 goals.
- Bayswater City U23 have won three of their last five in the WA NPL U23 with two or more goals in each of those victories.
- The visitors were held to two draws by them in 2026.
Bayswater have a history of success over Armadale
Armadale U23's form has been poor in recent weeks, with four defeats and 17 goals conceded during that run, leaving them 11th in the Western Australia U23 League 2026 table with only eight points and -25 goal difference.
The only bright spot for them in the last couple of weeks was a 2-1 home win over Balcatta, while they have been beaten 4-0 at home by Perth Glory U23.
Bayswater City U23 are in a much happier position in fifth place in the table with 22 points and +1 goal difference after 13 rounds of the season. They have won their last two matches, the most recent of which was a 3-0 triumph over Perth SC and a 2-0 away victory over Balcatta two games before that.
Vibrant Bayswater attack should have too much for Armadale
Matthew Sparrow's young charges have a real mix of youth and experience about them with a number of youngsters, like Luke Palmateer and Jackson Stephens, with Alex Bolton progressing into state and national squads. The same is true of his side's style, which is a hybrid of structured attack with overlapping full-backs, frequent wing play and crossing, and disciplined defensive play.
The visitors should have too much quality for an Armadale team that don't have a consistent goal threat and look likely to be overwhelmed by the crossing barrage from Bayswater's wide players. The hosts set up with a possession-based structure with long balls and set-piece routines to back it up, but frequently get sucked into a deep block.
Fletcher Morriss and Lachlan Pugh are returning from suspension to strengthen the central spine of the hosts, but their defensive record suggests they will struggle to keep Bayswater out on Saturday. Cool, damp weather could make the pitch at the Alfred Skeet Reserve a little slick, which might just suit the more structured visitors.
Sparrow’s side are worth a flutter at very low odds
Bayswater City U23 are the clear favourites at 1.36, although their odds seem low enough to get some money on them and there is still the likelihood of a decent profit here given Armadale's odds of 5.58.
Recent history of the fixture suggests Armadale will make it a game, but we are taking Bayswater to win with confidence as they have the players to get goals. Over 2.5 goals is a very short odds of 1.14, which is just about right for Bayswater's recent games and the general defensive frailties of their opponents.
