- Bayern Munich have won their last two away Bundesliga matches.
- Leverkusen have failed to win their last two home games against Bayern.
- Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane is the Bundesliga’s top scorer with 30 goals in 24 appearances.
Bayern Munich lead the way
The two title rivals face off in the Bundesliga 2025-2026 on Saturday when FC Bayern Munich travel to the BayArena to face Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
It’s been a very different campaign for these two so far and the results in the league table reflect that. Bayern Munich have won 66 points from 25 games and Leverkusen have accumulated 44 points from the same number of games.
Kompany has introduced a vertical style that is aggressive and proactive, looking to suffocate teams with pressing while looking to overload the area and score goals. It’s been very successful and has seen Bayern Munich dominate the Bundesliga since Vincent Kompany took over in May 2024.
Leverkusen have been more solid under Hjulmand, who since taking over in September 2025, has tried to combine possession with a pressing style and playing in phases. The problem has been the inconsistency in performance levels and they head into this game off the back of two wins, two draws and a defeat in their last five Bundesliga matches.
Back Bayern to edge a thriller
A visit to Leverkusen is never an easy task and the hosts will make it a tough game. They’ve won seven, drawn two and lost three of their 12 home games in the Bundesliga this season. They beat Hamburger SV 1-0 away last weekend, and then were involved in a 3-3 thriller against Freiburg on Wednesday.
Bayern Munich are in red-hot form and are on a five-game winning streak in the Bundesliga. They’ve won their last two and they’ve been excellent away from home all season long, winning ten and drawing two of their 12 away games in the Bundesliga.
Leverkusen have failed to win their last two at home to Bayern Munich and we’re siding with the away team for the win here with the odds currently 1.68. It’s a big game and the two teams are so different in style, but both press and both will want to play on the front foot and try to exploit the high defensive lines of the other. Goals are expected and we’re taking over 2.5 goals at 1.33 and both teams to score at 1.4. Bayern’s extra firepower should see them prevail.
