- Barcelona are on a two-game winning streak, with four wins in their last five matches in all competitions.
- Copenhagen are unbeaten in their last five games, although they’ve only won two of them.
- Barcelona are averaging 3.00 goals per game at home in the UEFA Champions League 2025/2026 this season, conceding an average of 1.33 goals per match.
Barcelona will want to close this out
Barcelona, currently 9th in the UEFA Champions League 2025/2026 standings with 13 points from seven games, are the big favourites for this clash at 1.11 and will be looking to close the deal on Wednesday against an FC Copenhagen side who are 26th with eight points from the same seven matches.
FCB come into this game fresh off the back of a 4-2 away win over SK Slavia Prague in the UEFA Champions League and a 3-0 victory at home to Real Oviedo in La Liga. Hans-Dieter Flick’s side are playing some fantastic football this season, with the players playing at the same tempo and pressing at high intensity with some fantastic results to show for it.
Raphinha is in blistering form for FCB, having scored five of their 14 goals across their last five competitive fixtures. He’ll be a constant threat on the flanks in this game, while Fermin Lopez continues to provide the clinical edge in midfield with five goals in six UEFA Champions League appearances.
Copenhagen will look to stay compact
Copenhagen, on the other hand, come into this clash having drawn their last two away matches in all competitions, while their record in the UEFA Champions League 2025/2026 this campaign stands at one win, two losses, 1.00 goal per game scored and 2.67 goals conceded per match away from home.
Jacob Neestrup’s side are a well-drilled unit who will be very tough to break down in this match. They use compact defensive blocks, selective pressing and rapid vertical transitions to exploit spaces left behind by opponents. Jordan Larsson has been Copenhagen’s main attacking threat so far, notching three goals in seven UEFA Champions League games.
FCB to cruise to victory
Barcelona’s odds are extremely short for this fixture, but that reflects the fact that they’re the much better team and have much more at stake. Copenhagen face a slim chance of staying in the competition, and a result here is unlikely.
Flick’s Barcelona are a high-tempo, high-intensity side with a high defensive line, and this will suit their full backs in particular who will look to overload the flanks and force play. Copenhagen will counter with their structured defence and clinical counter-attack, but they may not have the quality to compete with FCB.
Over 2.5 goals seems like a pretty good bet at 1.22, given Barcelona’s attacking form and their need to score to ensure progression. I’m also going for a convincing home win for FCB.
