- Napoli have won four of their last five meetings with Lecce, losing none.
- Napoli have been unbeaten at home in Serie A 2025/2026, winning nine and drawing four of 13.
- Napoli have averaged 1.77 goals per game scored and 0.92 goals per game conceded at home in Serie A 2025/2026.
Conte’s Napoli will look to maintain Serie A momentum
Napoli have hit a bit of a patchy run of form recently, winning two, drawing one and losing two of their last five games. However, Antonio Conte’s men did win their two most recent Serie A contests and will be confident of notching another three points at home to Lecce on Saturday.
Conte’s attacking system, which focuses on the wide areas and a fluid, high-tempo style of play, is built on his team’s ability to press effectively and create quick transitions. Their pressing has been aggressive of late and they should stretch Lecce out on the flanks, with the visitors hoping to frustrate their hosts when they can.
Lecce have been better since Eusebio Di Francesco took charge in June 2025, as he has moved the club in a slightly more proactive direction, preferring a compact, possession-savvy mid-block and picking their moments to press, while looking to counter-attack.
Tough away trip for Lecce
Lecce have won three and lost two of their last five; their last outing was a 2-1 home victory against Cremonese, a week after they were beaten 3-1 by Como.
Lameck Banda has been in good form of late, and is Lecce’s main outlet, scoring three goals in 22 Serie A appearances this season. His pace and directness are his main attributes, so he should be Lecce’s primary weapon on the counterattack.
Napoli’s Rasmus Hoejlund has nine goals in 24 Serie A appearances this season, making him an excellent finisher in the number nine role that Conte wants from his forwards. The Danish international is Napoli’s biggest threat at the moment, particularly at home, where space opens up and he is able to show off his movement.
Conte’s team can control the match
Napoli, who sit third in Serie A 2025/2026 with 56 points from 28 games, are heavy favourites at 1.39 for a win here, while Lecce, who are 16th with 27 points, have failed to win in their last two away trips to Napoli.
Conte’s system has given Napoli a solid structure and the ability to get after teams, while Lecce will struggle to break them down. The odds for ‘Both Teams to Score - No’ are 1.44, so I’m going for a home win here and a continuation of Napoli’s strong Serie A campaign.
Lecce have shipped 18 goals in their 13 away Serie A fixtures in 2025/2026, an average of 1.38 per match, and Napoli, who have averaged 1.77 scored and 0.92 conceded per match at home in the same period, should be able to keep a clean sheet in this clash.
