Both Haiti and Scotland will make history this Sunday as they step onto the World Cup stage, with both nations hoping to make a mark on Group C in the 2026 edition of the tournament.
This Group C opener in the USA will be played in front of a lively Boston Stadium crowd that will have a large contingent of Haitian diaspora mixed in with Scotland's travelling support. Both nations will be pumped up for this fixture and it should be a lively affair.
Sébastien Migné has Haiti playing a pragmatic, organised style since taking over as coach in March 2024. They have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five and they should be competitive against the Scots, although probably not good enough to win.
Scotland have better all-round quality
They will line up in a narrow, compact defensive shape and look to counter-attack through the likes of Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Duckens Nazon, who will be their focal point and most reliable finisher in transition. Nazon offers them a real target-man option to play into when they need to be direct.
