- Aldershot are heavy FA Cup favourites at 4/25.
- Tadley Calleva sit 11th in the Combined Counties Premier Division South with 16 points from 9 league games (GD +8).
- There is only one senior H2H result (Tadley Calleva 1-6 Aldershot Town, county/cup, 4th Feb 2025).
Shots are not a shot to avoid
The Shots are the likelier winners of Saturday's FA Cup Qualification 2026 fixture, but at 4/25 on the home win they are certainly not worth a punt. This is a classic control vs chaos match-up with Aldershot seeking to dominate possession and Tadley looking to spoil, counter-attack and take their chances from dead balls and second balls.
Scott Davies has the home side set up to play front foot football from a 4-3-3 base, pressing up high and looking to set the tempo. Marcus Dinanga is the danger man for the Shots after his hat-trick last time out showed that he can finish a game quickly if he gets on a run. Tristan Abrahams is another live wire up front who brings movement and an end product for Aldershot, while Basil Tuma and H. Sandah offer some craftiness behind him.
Tadley in their prime
Aldershot have had a mixed start to the season, standing around 12th in the National League table after 13 games, with 18 points earned in the process. L-L-W-L-L is their competitive form run coming into Saturday's game, but the 5-1 thrashing of Tamworth in the National League Cup was the type of result that suggested they can turn the style on in the right environment.
Tadley are in strong form and they will arrive at Aldershot's stadium with momentum following their W-W-D-W-W competitive run. The Romans' biggest scalp this season came in the FA Cup third qualifying round when they upset Dartford in a 2-1 win and true giant-killing was achieved. Donnacha Burke has been a bedrock in goal, while Charlie Barlow is a solid impact substitute who scored the equaliser against Dartford and Tadley are a very capable set-piece unit.
Siding with the hosts
With 11th in the Cherry Red Records Combined Counties Premier Division South, Tadley shouldn't have much to do with Aldershot. Joe Lawler has them drilled as a set piece and counter-attacking side that will frustrate the hosts, but the gulf in class should eventually tell over 90 minutes with a comfortable cup result most likely.
Aldershot to win and both teams to score is the correct bet as far as we see it.
