- East Kilbride have won 10, drawn three and lost four of their 17 home fixtures in League Two.
- Clyde FC have won four of their last five and are on a four-game winning run, but their away record is just one win and one defeat from the last two.
- East Kilbride have an unbeaten record in the last two head-to-heads (Won1, Drawn 1).
East Kilbride have an attack-first mindset
East Kilbride are top of League Two on 66 points from 35 games, having been dominant for most of the 2025-2026 campaign.
They head into Saturday’s clash with Clyde FC on the back of a two-game winning streak, which includes a 4-0 thumping of Edinburgh City in their last home fixture. Michael Kennedy’s side have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five and they have yet to beat Clyde FC at home, which adds extra intrigue to this fixture.
Kennedy took over in May 2023 and immediately instilled a structured 4-3-3 philosophy that prioritises attack and quick transitions with central control. John Robertson is their main man, top scoring in League Two with 20 goals in 33 appearances, and he has been in fine form with three goals in the last five.
Clyde FC come into the game on a roll, having won four in a row and coming in third in League Two, but they are 10 points behind East Kilbride after 35 games.
Clyde have been flying under Young
Darren Young has been in charge since October 2024 and he has been the main reason for their upturn in form since taking over. Clyde are now playing a high-tempo, front-foot game with a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 system, pressing high and playing wide with a relentless tempo.
Scott Williamson has been a revelation up top for Clyde FC in recent weeks, scoring six goals in the past five matches, but James Hilton is the club’s top scorer with ten in 24 League Two appearances.
Recent wins over Edinburgh City, Dumbarton and Annan Athletic have seen Clyde FC score seven times in three matches, but they have been solid on their travels this season, averaging 1.65 goals per game away from home, scoring 28 times.
Clyde have good away form
The head-to-head history favours East Kilbride, who are undefeated in the two most recent clashes with Clyde, the previous one being a 3-1 away win just eight weeks ago in League Two. East Kilbride have a strong home record in League Two, winning ten and losing four from 17 games, while Clyde have won just five of their 17 on the road.
I expect goals in this one, as two attacking teams are meeting with contrasting philosophies. East Kilbride’s central control and transition speed versus Clyde’s pressing and width should lead to an open game. Both sides should score and I believe they will both get on the scoresheet on Saturday.
East Kilbride are the stronger team and should win at 47/100, but the value is in the over 2.5 goals at 37/100 and both teams to score at 12/25.
