- Barça are perfect in four games at home (W4, D0, L0), scoring 13 goals at a rate of 3.25 per game.
- Het Legioen are perfect in four away (W4, D0, L0), averaging 3.75 goals per away game.
Barça are full of beans and Feyenoord are flying
This should be an exciting fixture in the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League and two of the world's top managers will be going at it at the Spotify Camp Nou on Wednesday, when Hans-Dieter Flick's FC Barcelona clash with Giovanni van Bronckhorst's Feyenoord Rotterdam.
Flick, in charge of the club since 29 May 2024, has installed a high-pressing, high-tempo system that has been designed to suffocate teams in their own half and then play at speed when in possession.
That's exactly what Barcelona have been doing in recent games and they have reaped the rewards with a 5-0 thrashing of Valencia, a home win over Athletic Bilbao and a win against Rayo Vallecano.
Lamine Yamal has been their spark plug with five of the 16 goals Barcelona have scored in their last five matches, while Feyenoord have a poacher on fire of their own in Gjivai Zechiel, who has four of his side's 12 goals in the last five games.
An open affair should be on the cards
Het Legioen have also been irresistible in recent weeks, winning three and drawing two of their last five, with an eye-catching 2-5 victory over Cambuur last time out followed by a 1-3 away win at NEC Nijmegen.
Van Bronckhorst took charge on 17 June 2026 and has immediately set about implementing his possession-anchored model with sharp pressing triggers. It is a simple 4-3-3 system, which should provide plenty of chess match in midfield and in transition for this clash.
Barça's high line and constant counter-press is a gameplan that can leave them open to the counter as much as it can smash teams out of the game and, given Feyenoord's recent balance of a 1-3 away win and a 2-5 home victory, it would be no surprise if Het Legioen took this one.
We're going to leave the draw in the mix as Feyenoord are unbeaten in ten (W8, D2) compared to Barça's seven wins from ten, so a bit of upset value is a real possibility here.
However, our main play is on the goals markets as Over 2.5 is strongly in play at 17/100 and both teams to score - No at 19/20 is also tempting, although we're backing one side to keep it tight at the back.
