- GNK Dinamo Zagreb are the bookies' favourites, but 9/10 looks a bit short for this one.
- Hapoel Beer-Sheva are a useful counter-attacking unit and they enter this in fair shape.
- Neither side are on a hot streak with Hapoel Beer-Sheva's last five showing two wins, one draw and two defeats while Dinamo Zagreb's last five matches are a mirror image of that.
Two attacking teams with different styles
The Modri/Plavi travel to Romania to face Hapoel Beer-Sheva on Wednesday and both sides should give this one a real go.
The Camels play a high-tempo game under Ran Kozuch, who has been in charge since 1 July 2024 and has turned them into a fast-paced, direct side that plays 4-3-3.
They can also set up with a narrow mid-block at times and are a serious threat in transition when they win second balls and get players in behind.
Mario Kovacevic has been in charge of the Blues since 4 June 2025 and has kept the game model compact, technical and press-ready. Dinamo can control games with their 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 hybrid, but they are not afraid to play vertical football at times, especially with Dion Drena Beljo at his best, which he has been in this last 5-game run.
Beljo has been the biggest threat for Zagreb, who have benefited from his three goals in this period, and they are a well-oiled attacking unit.
Hapoel can make their presence felt
The Camels should score at least once and there is enough value in both teams to get on the scoresheet at 11/20. However, we're taking Dinamo Zagreb to come out on top, although not without a fight.
They are the more likely of the two to win, but the bookies' odds of 9/10 are too short and we will take Hapoel to win at 53/20.
The Over 2.5 goals market also looks lively at 13/20, but we'll settle for the goal and Both Teams to Score pick here.
Dinamo Zagreb are the superior side, but only marginally, and they have a better recent record across all competitions with six wins, two draws and two defeats in their last 10.
Hapoel have won six, drawn one and lost three in their 10 most recent fixtures in all competitions, so they enter in solid shape.
Their most recent two games were a 1-4 loss to Maccabi Tel-Aviv in Ligat Ha'AL followed by a 0-2 win over Hapoel Petah Tikva, a mixed record which has them playing with a bit of a swing in momentum.
Dinamo Zagreb have a similar recent record with a 1-0 win over NK Gorica in HNL followed by a 4-2 loss to NK Osijek, so it may be a matter of which side can make their mark in the midfield battle that tips the balance in this game.
