- Kettering Town have won four of their last five matches, including a 4-1 win over Anstey Nomads and a 4-0 win at Matlock Town.
- The Poppies have won three consecutive home fixtures, conceding just two goals in the process.
Kettering are in the driver’s seat
Richard Lavery has done an outstanding job at Kettering Town since taking over as head coach on 17th February 2024, and his side's energy and determination to press the opposition is starting to reap rewards.
The Poppies have won four of their last five, and after a 4-1 home win over Anstey Nomads and a 4-0 cup romp at Matlock Town, they're flying in the home straight. Kettering have won five and drawn one of their six home fixtures in all competitions this term, conceding just twice in the process.
Tai Fleming is their main danger man, with the prolific striker having netted three of his team's six goals in their last five-game run.
Worcester are likely to be much less adventurous and will instead try to set up with a 4-3-3 system, which will see them patiently build-up play and then use their midfield three to dominate the second line.
That style could favour Kettering, who play their football at a much higher tempo and could snare the Blues before they get into their rhythm.
Blues should be worried
Worcester's form heading into this fixture looks patchy, with just one win in their last five, two draws and two defeats.
After a 0-0 draw with Banbury United in their opener, Matt Bonser's charges have yet to win away, but they also have a 0-2 defeat at home to Leek Town and a 2-2 away draw at Racing Club Warwick in their most recent two.
Their overall form across the last ten in all competitions is three wins, four draws and three defeats, and it's difficult to make a case for the visitors here.
The fact that Worcester are yet to win away from home this season, while Kettering are enjoying a three-game winning sequence on their own patch, tells us that the hosts should be in the best spot to claim the victory on Saturday.
The home win at 33/25 looks the best bet, although we're going to edge towards a narrow home victory in the correct score market. Kettering's front line are sharp and a quicker attacking unit than Worcester, so a one-goal win for the hosts looks about right.
