- APIA Leichhardt Tigers have won three and drawn one of their last five games (W3, D1).
- Blacktown City have won one, drawn two and lost two of their last five matches (W1, D2, L2).

An exciting clash of styles awaits at Lethbridge Park
Champions APIA Leichhardt Tigers will face 15th-placed Blacktown City FC in the NPL New South Wales at Lethbridge Park on Sunday.
These two clubs have played each other twice in the league in the last six months, with APIA winning both encounters, however, they have failed to win either of their two previous trips to Lethbridge Park to face the Yellow Army.
Tigers head coach Franco Parisi has fashioned APIA into a free-flowing, attack-minded side since taking charge in January 2023, the club winning the NPL NSW title last season, and they currently top the league with 45 points from 19 games - 27 more than Blacktown City FC, who are 15th with just 18 points.
Hosts’ struggles have been home-based
The Yellow Army's recent form has been mixed, and they've had a slight dip in performance across the last two home matches, losing 1-2 to Rockdale Ilinden. Their one win in the same five-game period came away from home - a 2-1 victory at Sutherland Sharks.
Blacktown have had plenty of difficulties at home in the NPL NSW in 2026, winning just two of their previous nine games on their own patch, while losing six. They've only scored 0.89 goals per-game at home in the NPL NSW and have conceded at a rate of 1.56 - numbers that illustrate the lack of firepower and defensive fragility of Mark Crittenden's men.
APIA to edge an open encounter
APIA's attack is characterised by fast breaks, wide overloads, loads of crosses and a desire to press and push players forward. They don't shy away from a chance and are at their best when they get the ball wide and create numerical advantages.
While Blacktown City have a more conservative, defensive, set-piece-based style, and will aim to frustrate and nick goals, APIA are heavy favourites at 1.48 with the hosts a massive 6.42.
In contrast to Blacktown, APIA have won back-to-back away fixtures, beating Spirit FC 2-1 at their place and Wollongong Wolves 2-0 away from home. They have scored 15 away goals in NPL NSW, so have no hesitation in playing on the front foot.
With APIA in far superior form, better away record and possessing greater attacking threat, we're confidently backing them to claim the win here. The 'Both teams to score - Yes' market is also favoured at 1.6 as we're expecting both teams to show attacking intent in what should be an interesting clash of philosophies.
