- Juventus FC have won the last three head-to-head games, including a 1-0 away win in Serie A seven months ago.
- Juve have won eight of 15 home Serie A games, losing only once.
- Genoa have won just three of their last 14 away games in Serie A (D5, L6).
Old Guard vs New Guard
This Monday night Serie A clash pits two clubs and two managers at contrasting stages in their respective careers with Daniele De Rossi having stepped in as head coach in November 2025, while Luciano Spalletti has overseen an immediate upturn in Juve’s fortunes since taking over at the end of October.
Spalletti’s side have won two, drawn two and lost one of their five games since his appointment, while Genoa have won three and lost two of their previous five. However, there’s a lot to like about both teams under the new boss and the clash of styles could be intriguing.
The Old Lady have moved up to fifth and now have 54 points from 30 games. Genoa are a further 21 points adrift in 13th.
Juve have firepower and Genoa have pace
Spalletti has been true to his game-plan of dominating the ball, stretching the game with his fluid formations and pressing in waves, but Genoa have been just as impressive in their approach of setting up a compact block, sitting deep and then using their pace and energy to counterattack and press in waves.
A high-scoring match could be likely with the odds of 1.93 on over 2.5 goals a pretty good bet.
Juve are heavy favourites for this game at 1.37, but we like the odds of 2.2 for both teams to score. Genoa will probably come out better in this match if they can nick a goal, but Juventus average two goals per home game in Serie A so we have to back them to win.
Juve star man can make the difference
Juve have won one, drawn one and lost one of their last three home Serie A matches, so the result is not as clear-cut as the oddsmakers would have you believe.
Genoa have had some success on the road recently, winning 2-0 at Hellas Verona, but losing 2-0 at home to Udinese. They are winless in their last two visits to Turin.
Juve have scored two goals in their last two games, with a 1-1 draw at home following a 1-0 win away at Udinese and another 1-0 away win looks likely here.
Kenan Yildiz leads Juventus’s goalscoring charts with 10 in 29 Serie A appearances and should get plenty of chances to add to that tally against a mid-table side.
Jeremie Boga has also been in form, scoring three of Juve’s last nine goals in five games, but Genoa’s main marksman is Lorenzo Colombo with six goals in 30 Serie A outings this term.
