- Juventus have won one of their last three Serie A home fixtures (W1, D1, L1).
- Genoa have won three and lost two of their last five matches (W3, D0, L2).
- Genoa have won none of their last two away trips to Juventus.
Gialloblu have momentum, but Juventus can win
Two very different managers with very different styles are set to go head-to-head on Monday evening when Luciano Spalletti’s Juventus FC play host to Daniele De Rossi’s Genoa.
Spalletti’s men have won just two of their last five games, losing once and drawing twice. The Old Lady beat Udinese 1-0 on the road before being held at home by Sassuolo in a 1-1 draw last time out. De Rossi, who took over as Genoa head coach in November 2025, has seen his men win three of their last five and lose the other two. The Gialloblu recently won 2-0 away at Hellas Verona but then fell to a 2-0 defeat at home to Udinese last time out.
The Old Lady are a well-balanced unit under Spalletti, where they control the tempo and stretch the play with fluid formations. Juve can press in waves and recover quickly to dominate possession. De Rossi has set up a pragmatic system with the Rossoblu, where a compact block and quick transitions are key features.
This tactical battle will be fascinating as the control clash with the counter-attack, and both teams will have opportunities to hurt each other. But home advantage and Juventus’ superior quality across the pitch makes them favourites to win at 37/100.
Juve will break through
Spalletti’s team have won each of the last three head-to-heads, including a 1-0 away win seven months ago in Serie A. Juve have won eight, drawn six and lost just one of their 15 home games in the league this season and can come out on top here. Genoa have been solid of late, but they’ve struggled to win on their travels (W3, D5, L6).
The away side have conceded an average of 1.5 goals per-game away from home in Serie A, so there should be gaps in their defence for the hosts to exploit. Juventus have scored an average of two goals per-game at home in Serie A this season, which should be enough for them to seal the win against a side that can score on the counter. Both teams to score looks likely at 6/5.
Yildiz the man to watch
Kenan Yildiz leads the way for Juve with 10 goals in 29 Serie A appearances this term and will be on the lookout for any space in behind Genoa’s defence on Monday. Juve have plenty of scoring power going forward, but if you’re looking for a goal scorer bet, the value lies with Genoa’s Lorenzo Colombo, who has 6 in 30 Serie A games this term.
An away goal for Genoa is a realistic possibility as their high-energy pressing can catch teams out, but the hosts should have enough to see it through. A goal-fest looks likely with odds of 93/100 for over 2.5, so we’re backing that alongside a home win.
