This Wednesday's game at BC Place Vancouver is a tactical clash of press versus structure with Switzerland preferring to dictate tempo and build up play in a controlled manner while Canada are a high-pressing side that want to win the ball back and attack quickly.
Murat Yakin has been Switzerland's coach since August 2021 and has a very good knowledge of his players, but there have been some mixed results recently with the Swiss winning one, drawing three and losing once in their last five. Their structure and discipline are solid, however, with the deep-lying pivot able to control the tempo and shield the back line.

Newly-appointed Canada boss Jesse Marsch has hit the ground running with his high-press philosophy that has seen the Canucks press with intensity in an attempt to force turnovers. They then try to get the ball to their wide attackers as quickly as possible so they can play wide and direct.
This could be a close game and Canada have the intensity and energy to push Switzerland here, but the European nation are the more experienced squad and have the structure to make it count. Under 2.5 goals at 1.77 seems a strong play as both teams have been pretty solid defensively recently and this game could be settled by a single goal.
