The odds suggest that Cape Verde will take a bit of a pasting, but we don't see it that way and feel that Bubista's men can test Saudi Arabia in a crucial Group H fixture at the Houston Stadium.

Saudi Arabia will try to make the most of the advantage
Saudi Arabia are a very different proposition under Georgios Donis, who took over in April 2026. The Greek coach has switched them to a more vertical, wide-based style that is more pressing than the previous system.
Al Nujum will try to control possession at a high tempo, but the trigger for their pressing game is to get the opposition into transition as quickly as possible. Donis's men are much more forward thinking and much more likely to break their opponents down in a positive way than the Saudis of old.
That is a gamble, however, because they are more likely to get caught out on the break as well.
