An out-of-depth Casa Pia are in a class of their own
Casa Pia Atletico are currently rock-bottom of the Primeira Liga 2026/2027 table with a return of zero points from four matches and welcome the table-topping Dragões on Saturday, knowing that the challenge ahead is a massive one.

The Gansos will know that they'll need to be at their best to avoid a further defeat to FC Porto in the Primeira Liga and although they have the home advantage, the visitors are in fine form in the league. Stick with Porto to get the better of the Gansos
Francesco Farioli has been in charge of FC Porto since 6th July 2025 and has installed a high-tempo, high-pressing system that has seen Porto dominate games and bite back when teams have tried to play on the front foot. A 2-0 home win over Arouca, a 3-0 win at Academico Viseu and a 2-1 home victory against Moreirense are the highlights of Porto's return of 15 points from a possible 15.
A Porto win is the obvious choice, but the draw at 433/100 still looks too high for the away side. Casa Pia won the last meeting 2-1 at home seven months ago, so Porto will know that they'll have to be at their maximum to take the win. However, the vertical nature of their 4-3-3 and the aggression they will show in the counter-press should eventually force Casa Pia into mistakes in dangerous areas.
Porto will carry the greater punch and can eventually edge this one in a controlled performance, although Casa Pia's compact nature should keep this tight for periods. Back the away side to win and them to score over 1.5 goals in the game, an outcome that fits the form of both teams and the stats.
Gabriel Veiga remains Porto's dangerman with three goals in five Primeira Liga 2026/2027 appearances and he looks a likely source of danger on Saturday.
