- Celtic won in 3 of the last 5 H2H encounters and in the most recent away encounter.
- Celtic have won all four of their away games in the Premiership 2026/2027 and conceded just two goals on their travels, an unbelievable record.
- Celtic have two wins and three defeats across their last five games in all current competitions, while Hibs have won one, drawn one and lost three across their last five.
Bhoys to batter Hibs at Easter Road
Hibernian are without a win in five home Premiership 2026/2027 games, drawing one and losing four, while they've conceded nine goals at Easter Road across that run.
Celtic's high-tempo press is a classic Martin O'Neill game plan and his side have been relentless in the early going, keeping the Bhoys at the top of the table and looking far more likely than Hibs to come out on top here.
Marink Reedijk has tried to get Hibs to sit deep and focus on the transition, but they have been found wanting in the final third and their home form has been atrocious. Martin Boyle is Hibs' biggest threat by some distance with three goals in six games in the 2026/2027 season, while Benjamin Nygren tops the Celtic goal charts with three in seven.
Back the Bhoys to get the job done
After a 4-1 defeat at Benfica in the Europa League, Celtic responded with a 7-1 win over Hearts at home and a 2-0 victory against Motherwell in the league last weekend, putting the Bhoys back on track. Hibs are on a mixed-to-poor run, with a 1-1 draw with Aberdeen following back-to-back defeats at Dundee United (0-1) and at home to Falkirk (1-2). In the same competition, Hibernian sit 12th with seven points from nine games while Celtic top the table on 24 points from the same amount of games. Given the clear class difference between the sides, the odds of 67/100 for the visitors look about right and we're taking Celtic to come away with a victory.
Celtic to bounce back from Benfica defeat
An alternative approach could be to go over 2.5 goals at 13/20, which fits Celtic's attacking profile and Hibs' shaky home defending, but we believe that the Bhoys are worth a flutter on their own. Hibs can keep this game close in the opening exchanges as they sit deep and attempt to hit on the counter, but the visitors have enough quality and pressing style to eventually break them down.
Camilo Duran has been in good form, scoring two of his three goals for Celtic across the Bhoys' last five in all competitions.
