- Liverpool (W) are unbeaten in their last five matches (W4, D1).
- West Ham United (W) are winless in their last five (D2, L3).
- Liverpool (W) have won 3 and drawn 3 of their 9 home league games (L3).
Gareth Taylor’s girls are flying
Liverpool FC Women have moved up to 10th in the Super League Women 2025-2026 table with 17 points from 19 games after an unbeaten run of four wins and a draw in their last five. The 3-2 away victory over Everton (W) and a hard-fought FA Cup win against Charlton (W) after extra time have been highlights, and their overall progress has been undeniable since Gareth Taylor took over in August 2025.
Gareth Taylor has instilled a high-pressing, high-tempo identity on the team in record time, making them one of the most proactive sides in the league.
Liverpool (W) have won their last two home games and will be confident of adding another win to the total on Sunday when they host a struggling West Ham United Women’s side.
Guarino’s girls are still a work in progress
West Ham United (W) have had a slow start to the season and are only one place behind Liverpool in the table on 13 points from 19 matches. They have failed to get a win in their last five games and look to be struggling against the drop in the current campaign.
Rita Guarino, who came in in December 2025, is a very different coach to her predecessor and is building a more structured, possession-based team that presses selectively and uses the width of their full-backs.
This match should be a classic contest between a pressing side and a possession-based side. It is early days for Guarino and there is still plenty of work to do, but the results are still coming up short. A 5-0 away defeat to Arsenal (W) was a deserved result, but the 1-1 home draw against London City Lionesses (W) a week later was disappointing.
Liverpool should have the momentum
The last head-to-head meeting between these two sides finished 2-2 at the London Stadium in November and we think goals will flow at both ends again on Sunday, with Liverpool (W) taking the spoils.
Liverpool (W) score on average 1.33 goals per home league game and have scored 12 goals in nine games, while West Ham United (W) score 0.44 goals per game on the road, with a total of four scored in their nine away trips. A home win looks a good bet at 13/20, and over 2.5 goals looks likely at 19/25, so we’re backing both in this Super League Women 2025-2026 match.
Beata Olsson leads the line for Liverpool (W) with six goals in 13 league games, but Ceri Holland has notched three in Liverpool’s last five and is providing some much needed drive from midfield. Shekiera Martinez leads the scoring for West Ham United (W) with the same six-goal haul in 19 games and is the most likely Hammers’ scorer on Sunday.
