- Olympiakos are the in-form team at present, with W3, D1, L1 in their last five.
- Jaga are in decent form too, however, with W3, D0, L2 in their last five.
Greek giants looking for European boost
Olympiakos Piraeus FC come into this UEFA Europa League 2026-2027 clash as the clear favourites at 17/50, with Jagiellonia Białystok 41/5 and the draw at 18/5.
Thrylos are certainly the team in form, but we think that Jaga's compact structure and recent record could keep this fixture closer than the odds suggest.
Olympiakos are in mixed form with three wins, one draw, and one defeat in their last five. After defeating Volos NFC 3-2 in the Cup, they slipped to a disappointing 0-1 home loss against OFI FC in the Super League at the weekend, so the mood in camp is likely to be a little mixed.
Jaga have also been a mixed bag of late with three wins and two defeats in their last five. Their recent three fixtures have been a 2-1 defeat at Lech Poznan, a 2-1 win at home to Slask Wroclaw and a 2-0 defeat away to Wisla Krakow.
All-competition form gives a sharper contrast, however, as Olympiakos have won four, drawn two, and lost four of their last ten, while Jagiellonia have won six, drawn one, and lost three of their previous ten.
Olympiakos will want to set the pace
Imanol Alguacil has brought a possession-first, high-pressing 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 setup at Olympiakos Piraeus FC and they look more than ever a side built to squeeze territory and win the ball high.
Adrian Siemieniec has kept Jaga tight and compact since 2023, with a structured, midfield-focused build-up and selective pressing keeping them in the game.
This should be a contrast of styles with Olympiakos wanting to press, dominate territory and attack, while Jagiellonia prefer to control the pace, stay compact, and focus on patient transitions.
Olympiakos look much more likely to edge it, but Jaga's structure should keep this close enough to ensure the underdog have a chance, so we're taking a home win with under 2.5 goals.
Armando Gonzalez has been a spark for Olympiakos this season, scoring three of their nine goals across the last five and he could be a good anytime goalscorer choice if he starts.
