- Chivas have won 3 of the last 5 overall and 2 of the last 3 home head-to-heads.
- Chivas have won 2 of 5 at home across all competitions (W2, D2, L1) while averaging 2.00 goals per game.
- Juarez have lost 3 of their last 5 away games across all competitions (W0, D2, L3), averaging 1.20 goals scored and 2.40 conceded.
Chivas favourites to keep up the pace
CD Chivas de Guadalajara arrive into the fixture as the clear favourites at 1.64, although that looks a little on the short side for a team who's just gone 1-2-2 in their last 5 matches across all competitions. Nonetheless, 1-2-2 isn't a terrible run and it's better than the 1-0-4 record that Juarez have put together during the same period.
This is a stylistic match-up that suits the hosts. Gabriel Milito's men have been playing a high-tempo possession-based game which sees them press aggressively and morph between 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 formations. They have players who can create and finish chances, particularly Santiago Sandoval who has netted three of Chivas' six goals in the last five.
Juarez, on the other hand, have been pragmatic and compact in every fixture this season so far. Pedro Caixinha's men are solid in the backline and have players who can run at teams in transition and on the counterattack. However, they don't have the possession quality or the finishing power to maintain the pace of Chivas.
Juarez need Ettson Ayon to find his form
If anyone can nick the goal that keeps this game interesting for Juarez, it's Ettson Ayon. The attacker has netted two of his side's six goals in the last five and is by far their most dangerous attacking player.
Chivas edged out Juarez 1-0 away from home in the Liga MX 2025/2026 season, the pair's most recent head-to-head, and they'll back themselves for this one after winning three of the five meetings overall.
The home side are set to edge it if they can break Juarez's low block early on and keep up the pressing tempo when they lose the ball, but we're not expecting this to be a walk in the park for the hosts. The away side will be compact and organised, which could keep it tight at Guadalajara Stadium.
Best value in the draw
Chivas' favourite price is a shade short for us but they do have a stronger case than Juarez, who are a massive 4.56. There is some value in the result draw at 4.1, but we think the better opportunity lies in the goals markets.
Over 2.5 goals at 1.57 plus BTTS Yes at 1.58 is our bet in the hope that this is a good game for both parties and that the visitors can keep the scoreline respectable.
