Tight meeting on the cards
Airdrieonians are another team in a rut with just one win and four defeats from their last five, so we're expecting a side-on-side clash here.
Paul Hartley's Cove side play on the front foot, high-tempo football with flexible shape and good width due to their flank overloads, while John Rankin prefers his Airdrie side to be compact and good on the counter-punch.
That style clash should open the game up, but the extra bite Cove have in transition and the home advantage should see them edge it, albeit with Airdrie unlikely to score.
Destiny can decide
The visitors have yet to win away from home in 2024/25, going 0-1-4 in five attempts, and have conceded nine times on their travels. Cove, despite their recent losses, have a better recent home record of 2-1-2 and should be able to take something from this game.
Destiny Oladipo has been Cove's primary goal threat with two of their four goals coming from him in their last five matches, so the ex-Nottingham Forest man looks a reasonable outside chance to get the opener.
