- Chelsea have won two of the last three head-to-head clashes and Fulham have won one (2-1 to Fulham at Craven Cottage in Premier League 2025/2026).
- Fulham have three wins and two defeats in their last five matches at home (all competitions) while Chelsea have two draws and one defeat in their three away games this season.
Tight West London derby awaits
This West London rivalry has often been a cagey affair in the last two seasons and Monday's Premier League meeting between Fulham and Chelsea at Craven Cottage should be another tight affair with the Blues edging it.
Alvaro Arbeloa has been Fulham's coach since 8 July 2026 and he has constructed a side with a compact shape, capable of pressing high and intense, that plays fast when they win the ball back. Xabi Alonso's Chelsea have a very different blueprint, preferring to build from the back and dominate the half-spaces with their midfielders, so the Cottagers are likely to be dragged into a more tactical chess match at Craven Cottage.
Chelsea are the narrow favourites here at 97/100, but Fulham are definitely worth a flutter at 49/20 with the draw coming in at 53/20. The hosts have been in steady, but unspectacular form with three wins, four draws and three defeats in their last ten games across all competitions, but they have enough quality to ensure that Chelsea are unlikely to run away with this.
Chelsea are a cut above
Fulham have had a similarly mixed form to the visitors with two wins, two draws and a defeat in their last five. A 1-0 home win over VfB Stuttgart last time out was another step in the right direction, but the Cottagers were still exposed by a better Crystal Palace side just a week before, losing 1-2 at home.
Chelsea have won four of their last 10 across all competitions, but also drawn two and lost four, so the visitors arrive at their spiritual home with a mixed record too. Alonso's side have hit top form in their last three, however, beating AC Milan 3-0 at home and Real Sociedad 3-1 at Stamford Bridge either side of a 3-3 away draw at Johor Darul Takzim FC, which suggests they can be penetrated on the road.
Fulham have conceded just three goals in their five home games across all competitions, so this may be a close affair at the Cottage. The average number of Fulham goals in the five head-to-heads at this venue is 1.5 while Chelsea are averaging 1.67 goals on their travels in all current competitions, so a game with two goals apiece looks likely.
Blues’ firepower should tell
The most likely result here is both teams to score with Chelsea edging it, but there is enough uncertainty in the contest to suggest the value is in going over 2.5 goals at 31/50 rather than risking the draw no bet market for a one-goal win.
Joao Pedro has been Chelsea's main goal threat, having scored seven of the club's 14 goals in the past five games, so back it to score again against Fulham.
