Back-to-back blowouts give hope to Gallos
Nevertheless, they have momentum from one win and two draws in their previous three and an unbeaten sequence of five, so they should approach Sunday's clash with Club America with belief. Club America's 2-1 away win in Liga MX 2025/2026 would suggest they have a head-to-head advantage, but it is a thin one at best.

America boss Guillermo Almada's preferred 4-2-3-1 system is all about verticality and high pressing, so this should be a high-tempo affair in which Gallos Blancos will have to soak up a lot of pressure and try to nick the loose balls in transition.
America not a runaway away team
Club America come into this as 24/25 favourites, which makes a bit of sense given they have two wins, two draws and one defeat in their last five games, but Queretaro are not a bad side and are available at 66/25 here, while the draw is at 123/50.
The last two games for Club America have both been draws (both 3-3) and they have only won one, drawn three and lost one on the road in all competitions, so they are not exactly running riot on the away trips.
A close contest is expected and the main selections will be the Under 2.5 goal at 9/10 and Both Teams to Score: Yes at 7/10. America should nick it, but it will be close. The visitors have averaged 1.40 goals per away game in Liga MX 2026-2027 and seven goals on the way in all competitions, so they should find a way through while Querétaro have scored seven times in their last five at home in all comps, enough to keep them in the conversation.
