Back to basics for the Gills
Northampton Town have shown little sign of improvement since Chris Hogg took the reigns on 1st July 2026, and we think their defensive vulnerability will be further exposed by a quick, direct Gillingham side this Saturday.
Gareth Ainsworth's side are more direct than they were in previous seasons, where they were sometimes guilty of playing on their toes and allowing their opponents the ball. The Gills are now more of a press-and-break side, and that should sharpen them up when they manage to force turnovers.
