- Harrogate Town have only won three of their 20 home games in League Two 2025-2026 (D3, L14)
- Bristol Rovers have won four of their last five League Two fixtures (D1, L0)
- Fabrizio Cavegn has scored 11 goals in 39 League Two appearances for Bristol Rovers this season
Gas hope to stun the hosts
Harrogate Town’s dismal campaign should not surprise anyone. The Sulphurites are rooted to the bottom of League Two with 30 points from 40 games, and their boss Simon Weaver has been on borrowed time for several weeks.
The club have remained stable throughout Weaver’s long tenure in charge, but the pressure is mounting on the boss as Harrogate have lost their last two and failed to win their previous two home fixtures.
Chanse Headman has been one of a few bright spots in a dismal season for Harrogate Town, scoring two of their four goals across the last five fixtures, but there’s no getting away from the fact that the team have been poor all season.
Rovers are the real deal
Bristol Rovers have been a different case to Harrogate in terms of their campaign, sitting 16th with 46 points from 40 fixtures. Steve Evans was appointed in December 2025 and his appointment has certainly given a new lease of life to Rovers, who play with a direct, physical style.
Rovers have won three in a row coming into this fixture, with a 2-1 win at Gillingham preceded by back-to-back home wins. The Gas have won five, drawn three and lost 12 of their 20 away games in League Two, and are priced as favourites at 31/25 for Monday’s clash.
Harrogate’s home problems run deep
Rovers will come up against a Harrogate side that likes to play a patient game with the ball, narrowing the field of play and trying to control the game. Rovers will try to disrupt this by playing a more vertical game and using their physicality to win second balls and duels.
The hosts have averaged just 0.60 goals per game scored and 1.65 conceded per game in their home league matches this season, but Rovers’ away record of 0.95 goals per game on the road and 1.65 conceded also points to a pragmatic approach from Rovers, who could be vulnerable at the back at times.
Harrogate Town did beat Rovers 1-0 away from home in League Two eight months ago, but the visitors are on a much better run and should be expected to take all three points from this fixture.
