- Levante have a poor home record, but have won both of their last two at home to nil.
- Osasuna have struggled away, winning just 2 of their 17 away matches.
Pragmatic Plodders
Levante and Osasuna will meet in a clash of opposites on Friday. 19th-placed Levante have 33 points after 34 games and are still in the relegation dogfight, and Osasuna sit 10th in LaLiga with 42 points after 34.
Luis Castro took over at Levante in December 2025 and has focused on pragmatic survival football rather than playing to entertain the home fans. His team are compact and organised and are very effective when they can transition quickly from their low or mid block.
Carlos Espi is a lively player and his sharp movement and finish have been a strong point for Levante this season, particularly when they break from deep. They will look to capitalise on the turnovers created by Osasuna’s pressing style and defensive lapses.
Visitors’ struggles on the road
Alessio Lisci took charge of Osasuna in July 2025, and has continued the disciplined, pressing football the club have become known for. Lisci’s preferred system is either a 4-4-2 or 4-1-4-1 and his team will look to press collectively and make the game intense from the off. They will attempt to overload the wide areas and be very aggressive in the air.
Ante Budimir is Osasuna’s main threat and is the club’s top scorer with 16 goals in 33 games in this campaign. He is very strong in the air and from set pieces and is a threat in all areas of the box.
Osasuna have struggled on the road this season, winning just 2 of their 17 LaLiga away days and conceding 22 goals. Levante have a poor home record of 5 wins, 5 draws and 7 losses, but they have scored 21 goals at an average of 1.24 goals per game, they can cause Osasuna a few problems.
Favouring the hosts
Osasuna’s recent form has been erratic and they have 1 win, 2 draws and 2 defeats in their last 5 LaLiga matches. Levante have had a similarly inconsistent 5 games with 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats.
Osasuna will have to come out with a high tempo to try and capitalise on Levante’s weaknesses, and this could lead to a high scoring game with over 2.5 goals at 21/20, but Levante’s defence will be very disciplined and I believe they can keep Osasuna off the scoresheet on Friday.
Both Teams to Score - No at 26/25 is a good bet, one team is going to keep a clean sheet, and with Levante at 171/100, I’m backing the hosts to secure a crucial win at home.
