- Morocco are unbeaten in their last five matches (W3, D2), including two draws in a row.
- Haiti have won one, drawn one and lost three of their last five games in all competitions.
- Morocco are clear favourites for this fixture at 3/10, making the Caribbean side 31/4 outsiders.
Modern Morocco can make short work of Haiti
This Wednesday's FIFA World Cup Group C fixture between Morocco and Haiti shouldn't be a classic, but it could be an intriguing tactical battle that provides plenty of talking points.
The Atlas Lions have one point on the board from their opening game in second spot, while Haiti are fourth and still seeking their first point of the tournament. Morocco are much the favourites here at 3/10 and it is impossible to ignore their quality and momentum in the odds, but the long odds on Haiti does tempt us into taking a second bet on this game.
Morocco's last two results were draws, but they are a tough team to beat and a 1-1 away draw to Brazil in their World Cup opener was no disgrace. Mohamed Ouahbi has instilled a possession-based, structured style on the team since taking over in March 2026 and they should dominate possession against a counter-attacking Haiti side.
The Lions of the Atlas have plenty of craft in midfield and with the likes of full-back Hakimi driving forward, they could create many chances against Haiti from wide positions. And with Ismael Saibari in good form - the forward scored in the World Cup opener - the African side can win this clash with a bit to spare if they play with their usual style.
Haiti won't fold, but lack the quality to trouble Morocco
Haiti's playing style under coach Sébastien Migné has favored a pragmatic, defensively compact approach since he took over in March 2024. They set up with a low block, are direct in transition, and select their pressing moments with physical forwards on top of the defence to frustrate their opponents. In Wilson Isidor, the former Montreal Impact star has been their biggest threat with two of his team's six recent goals coming from his feet.
Haiti's form has taken a dip of late, with back-to-back defeats following a 1-2 friendly loss to Peru, but they held out well for an hour against Scotland in their World Cup opening defeat 0-1 last weekend. Migné's men have more grit and resilience than Morocco, but lack the same quality and, therefore, could lose this fixture if the two teams end up playing the same way as they did against Brazil and Scotland.
Achraf Hakimi remains the hub of this Morocco team as a playmaker and has three assists in his last five appearances, but Brahim Diaz has emerged as their creative hub this year, with one assist in the World Cup so far. The former Madrid and Manchester City playmaker is the conductor in the final third, while Hakimi drives the transitions from deep.
Both teams to score - No at 69/100 is a good bet here as Morocco are defensively solid and Haiti lack attacking potency. Morocco's passing style should dominate the game and we are taking the favourites to grab the win in Atlanta.
