Revs’ attack is the best in MLS East
New England Revolution are sixth in MLS 2026, on 29 points from 16 games, while Houston Dynamo are ninth on 26, making this an Eastern Conference tussle with playoff pressure for both clubs. A three-point difference and some contrasting formlines have the Revs as narrow favourites with the bookies to win Saturday's clash at Gillette Stadium.
The odds and form suggest a fairly close affair, but the hosts may have a little psychological advantage as Houston have failed to win their last away game against New England. Marko Mitrović's men have played some excellent soccer since he took charge in November 2025, running with a ball-dominant style while being tactically flexible to adapt to the opponent.
The Revs will overload wide areas, switch the play and tempo rapidly to drag compact teams out of their shape and are just as happy to play through the thirds if the game turns into a counter attack. With Carles Gil pulling the strings, an attack-minded team like New England can play at a rapid rate of knots and make many teams look stupid. The visitors have drawn 1-1 away at LA Galaxy, 1-1 at home to D.C. United and then beaten Austin FC 3-0 last time out. That suggests the Dynamo are getting into their groove, but they aren't ready to play away from home yet.
