- Bologna are winless after five Serie A 2026/2027 games (D2, L3).
- Inter are in great form with three wins in their last five (D1, L1) and have started the season with one away win and one draw in Serie A 2026/2027 (W1, D1).
- Inter are the clear favourites in the betting with 1.59, while Bologna are 5.2 and the draw is 4.0.
Nerazzurri are the pick of the bunch
Inter make the trip to Bologna on Saturday to face a Rossoblù side that have been woeful so far this season. They are in 19th place in Serie A 2026/2027 with just two points from five games, while Inter are top of the table with 16 from six.
There is just no flow to Bologna's play at present as the Rossoblù are without a win in their last five matches. Their two most recent games have seen a 1-0 away defeat to Napoli followed by a 1-1 home draw with Torino.
Inter, on the other hand, have been excellent with three wins from their last five and are on a two-game winning streak.
Home goals have dried up for Rossoblù
Raffaele Palladino's three-at-the-back system is supposed to create overloads on the wings with the wing-backs rotating to press in coordinated blocks. It should create movement and a number of opportunities in the half-spaces, but they haven't been clicking yet.
Artem Dovbyk will provide their main outlet in the centre with the Ukrainian striker having one goal in three Serie A appearances. It's not enough for Palladino's men and they need him to be their cutting edge to finally get into the groove.
Juan Miranda has been good at covering the half-spaces and providing the bite from the deeper zones. He has one assist in four Serie A matches this season, but his ability to deliver from wide areas is a big positive.
Inter are well balanced and can exploit space
Cristian Chivu's 3-5-2 system is much more balanced with the two wing-backs providing width and ensuring that the centre-backs and defensive midfielders are not overloaded.
Inter are not a team that will allow much space for the home side to exploit and the pace and power of their forwards means they can play the ball over the top quickly when they get the chance.
Lautaro Martinez is the danger man for the Nerazzurri with four goals in four Serie A 2026/2027 fixtures. He's on fire in the box right now and should get a few chances.
Under 2.5 goals is a solid option here at 2.2, but both teams to score at 1.7 is the preferred pick as Inter's attacking options are just too good to pass up and Bologna will fight for every ball at home. The head-to-head is evenly balanced, with the last meeting ending 3-3 at Bologna's ground and the previous two clashes split between an Inter win and a draw, but Inter are in better form and look the likelier winner at this point.
