- Torino FC are 14th in Serie A 2026/2027 with four points from five games.
- Udinese Calcio are one place ahead and level on points in 13th after five matches.
- Udinese have won the last two head-to-head meetings including a 2-0 home win over Torino in 2025/2026.
Udinese and Torino are similar, but not identical
Udinese Calcio have been available at 3.0 for their away Serie A 2026-2027 fixture against Torino FC this Monday while Torino are 2.32 to win at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino and the draw is 3.3.
The Zebrette have had an up and down start to the Serie A 2026-2027 season with one win, one draw and three defeats in their last five games, but they are the slight favourites in this fixture because they have won the two most recent head-to-head contests. However, the odds on the draw or either side winning don't appear to reflect the fact that both are in indifferent form.
Torino have lost three and drawn one of their last five fixtures, so they can't be backed with any great conviction either despite their home advantage. It must also be said that the Zebrette have been chaotic on the road in the opening couple of games of this season, averaging 3.00 goals for and 3.50 goals against.
Toro like to press and run, but so do Zebrette
Torino coach Ignazio Abate, in charge since 12 June 2026, has them pressing high and playing a high-tempo 3-4-2-1 system that has left them vulnerable to being played through at times. Udinese boss Kosta Runjaic, who took over on 14 June 2024, has fashioned a more possession-based team that can play short or go long depending on the circumstances.
This is definitely not the set-up for a high-scoring fixture as both coaches like to overload the wings and use their wing-backs to attack. Therefore, the duel between the wide players should be key as well as which team can best dominate the central areas when they transition from defence to attack.
Che Adams is Toro's main danger man so far with two goals in three Serie A 2026/2027 appearances and Udinese have the attacking variety of Hassane Kamara and Keinan Davis, who have both been in form in the early season games. Kamara is Udinese's leading scorer in Serie A 2026/2027 with two, while Davis has been a creative spark, providing three assists in Zebrette's last five.
Zebrette have the edge in midfield
Torino come into this fixture off the back of a 0-2 home loss to AS Roma and a 1-1 draw at Bologna, while Udinese followed up a 0-1 at home to Cagliari with a 1-1 draw away to Pogon Szczecin last week. Neither are in great form and this is likely to be a cagey, tactical battle.
Torino have won none and scored one goal in their two home games this season and Udinese have a 1-1 away record, so it would be foolish to expect a thrashing from either team. The average number of goals scored by these two clubs in head-to-head matches in Turin is 1.50 (for Torino) and 1.00 (for Udinese), which fits with our view that this will be a low-margin, low-risk kind of script.
Under 2.5 goals at 1.8 seems the better option here as it should give us the best chance of landing a straight bet.
