- Real Sociedad have won three and lost two of their last five, beating Osasuna 3-1 at home two weeks ago.
- Levante have failed to win in their last two away games, drawing one and losing one.
- Real Sociedad concede 1.50 per game at home in LaLiga 2025-2026 (21 goals in total).
Sociedad should be in the driving seat
Real Sociedad have been a model of consistency in the top half of LaLiga 2025-2026 this season, occupying seventh place with 38 points from 29 games. Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side have some talented individual players, but are always a team first and foremost, playing an academy-produced, possession-based style that has served them well since the coach took over in December 2025.
Take Kubo is the architect of many of Sociedad’s best attacking moves, with his clever passing and off-the-ball movement creating plenty of chances for himself and his teammates. Mikel Oyarzabal is a proven finisher, netting 12 goals in 26 games in 2025/2026 and three in his last five, and Levante will need to keep a close watch on him.
Their home record this season of seven wins, three draws and four defeats from 14 isn’t bad at all, but they’ve been perfect in their last two, so home advantage should help them here.
Levante in the dog fight for survival
Levante, on the other hand, are in the relegation dog fight at 19th in the LaLiga 2025/2026 table, having collected only 26 points from 29 matches this campaign. Luis Castro has done a decent job since taking over in December 2025, getting the team to play a more structured, pragmatic style with plenty of focus on defensive structure and the use of numbers to force quick transitions.
Carlos Espi leads their frontline with seven goals in 16 appearances in 2025/2026, but he has scored six of those in his last five appearances. The team recorded a 4-2 home win over Real Oviedo last time out. Mohamed Bouldini can also have his moments of magic, especially if they can get the ball wide and onto the break.
Sociedad should have too much
With 26 points, Levante are in deep trouble, but they’ve looked better in recent weeks, winning two, drawing two and losing one of their last five. However, this will be a big ask away to Real Sociedad, who are better in all areas of the pitch.
The bookmakers have them as 14/25 favourites, which seems fair enough given they’ve been superior in all departments this term, but we think the BTTS - Yes market at 3/4 and Over 2.5 goals at 7/10 are the better options. Both defences are capable of getting exposed, and Levante are desperate for points while Sociedad are pushing for the European places, so expect drama in this one.
The last meeting between these clubs was a 1-1 draw at Levante three months ago, so it looks likely that Real Sociedad can edge it this time.
