Partizan to prevail in Kazakhstan
Partizan Belgrade will be a short odds of 24/25 to defeat Tobol Kostanay at the Kostanay Central Stadium on Thursday as they look to double up on the 3-0 advantage they took back in the first leg in the UEFA Conference League Qualification 2026, but this fixture could be a touch more awkward for them than the first leg.
Tobol, who are as big as 131/50 to win, and the draw at 73/25 is also tempting, look more likely to make this a tough European night than the odds indicate. The home side are on a poor run of results, having lost their last two games, but both defeats came away from home and they are a different proposition at the Kostanay Central Stadium.
Partizan have had to be patient
Saša Ilić has his Partizan side playing a more proactive, tempo-driven game than usual in which they press the ball and rotate their positions to win it back in high areas. The Serbians are the sharper all-round team here with six wins, three draws and one defeat across their last ten in all competitions, but they've also had to be more patient and persistent than usual against their opponents, who are well organised under Miroslav Romashchenko.
The Kazakh side play a compact 4-2-3-1 system with the emphasis on being in the right place at the right time. It's not a recipe for great attacking play, but nor is it a formula for the visitors to run away with this contest - if Tobol keep it tight and Partizan don't overplay their hand, it could turn into a chess match.
The visitors are 24/25 to edge it and we believe they will come through with a victory, although there may be more goals in the game than the oddsmakers are allowing for. Over 2.5 goals looks a little overpriced at 9/20, as does Both Teams To Score - Yes at 21/50, although both selections are in the correct price range and look worth backing.
Tobol can keep this respectable
The hosts have scored 2.75 goals per game at home and conceded 1.25 on average in all competitions, so this has the feel of a lively affair that they can keep respectable. Partizan have scored six goals in their four away fixtures across all competitions, so they are not far off the pace of the home team in that respect.
Zubairu Ibrahim looks the danger man for Partizan in this tournament after three goals in two, while Amine Talal is Tobol's spark with one goal in three games in the UEFA Conference League Qualification 2026. The latter should be the best bet to score any goal here as he is a bit more of a goal-getter and has the capability to unlock stubborn defences, which is what this tie needs if the hosts are to get back into it.
