Czarni to edge it against an Apollon with plenty of pedigree
Czarni Sosnowiec have the momentum of their recent title success to carry into Wednesday's UEFA Champions League Women qualification campaign and they look likely to nick it against Apollon Limassol FC (W), albeit in a tense draw.
The Polish side, at 1.51 are the hot favourite of the three options on offer, with Apollon 5.55 and the draw 4.3. Czarni will be looking to back up a 7-1 thrashing of WFC Nike and a 3-1 win over Athlone Town in the opening round of UEFA qualifying with another performance that could see them take the prize.
Apollon are a good side too and won't just roll over, so Czarni's edge will be very slim indeed. Apollon are 2025-26 champions, so they know what it takes to get the job done in one of these mini-tournaments.
Czarni can get the ball rolling
The value looks to be with the visitors because they are the sharper of the two sides right now and they have the confidence that comes with a great start to the season.
KKS are a compact, pressing side with plenty of energy, while Apollon are a more vertical side under Hernán Losada, who likes his team to play front-foot, pressing high to win the ball back early and play at pace.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out, as both teams have the ability to turn these games into a chess match of give and take. But Czarni have the edge in terms of momentum, so we will side with them to get the win or make it a draw.
Savva and Miksone can make the difference
Czarni's success has been built on turnovers and counterpunches, so this game could easily be a battle of transition plays and pace. Karlīna Miksone is their chief creator and the Latvian, fresh off the 7-1 win over WFC Nike, is coming into the game with a real charge.
