Dinamo Minsk and Neftchi Baku meet in the second leg of their UEFA Conference League Qualification 2026 tie, just one day after Neftchi Baku were battered 4-2 by the Belarussian champions in the first leg.
Aleksandr Shagoyko has got his team playing with some real bite since taking over on 3 January 2026, and his side's high pressing and vertical play have been very evident in this competition so far.
Dinamo Minsk have scored 2.40 goals per match and conceded 1.20 across all competitions this season and that's a formula for success, although it does not suggest that they have locked down the defensive side of the game.
Shagoyko's team are in good nick
Evgeni Malashevich is their danger man with four goals in five for the club, and two in three in this year's UCLQ, while Emin Makhmudov is the one to watch for Neftchi as the Azeri side's main spark in the final third.
Makhmudov already found the net in UCLQ 2026. They look great going forward, but are conceding 1.40 goals per game, which Minsk's attacking line will have enjoyed.
Neftchi will be better for their first-leg battering
Vernydub has brought structure and experience to the Baku club since arriving on 9 December 2025, and his teams play in a compact 3-4-2-1 or 4-2-3-1 formation which can grind this game out if Neftchi Baku can absorb the pressure and make the transitions stick.
Dinamo Minsk should have the upper hand again, but I think Neftchi's structure and Vernydub's game management will ensure a competitive tie rather than a walkover for the Belarussians.
Both teams to score at 1.55 look a good way to get on board here given the goal trade in the last game, while over 2.5 goals at 1.62 also catches my eye for another exciting night in Bulgaria.
