- JK Nomme Kalju have avoided defeat in four of their last five fixtures and have hit some form after a patchy run (W1, D3, L1).
- Linfield FC have lost their last four straight games in all competitions and have only picked up one win in their previous five.
- JK Nomme Kalju have been solid at home recently, conceding just five goals in five fixtures.
Linfield look vulnerable in Estonia
JK Nomme Kalju should just about have enough to take the match in Estonia on Thursday when they face Linfield in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League 2026 qualification round.
Nikita Andreev's side have had a few issues on home soil of late, failing to win any of their previous three (D2, L1), but they did grab a much-needed victory away at JK Nomme United last time out (3-1).
Their form heading into this European qualifier looks solid enough with one defeat, three draws and one win in their most recent five, with last weekend's 1-1 home draw against Paide Linnameeskond and their 3-1 away success at JK Nomme Utd showing that they can nick games on the front foot.
David Healy’s men are under the cosh
This is David Healy's game to lose with Linfield FC currently out at 3.8 and the draw at 3.6, so there's enough of a discrepancy in the odds for us to take the Estonians as the most likely winners.
The Blues are in poor form and have lost their four games in a row.
David Healy has done a great job at Linfield since his appointment on 14th October 2015, but his side tend to be narrow, compact and disciplined. They won't be that here in Tallinn, but they will try to stay in the game and nick it.
Linfield's two most recent outings were at Windsor Park against Cliftonville and Kilmarnock, a 2-1 home loss and a 3-2 home defeat respectively. The Belfast side are clearly a little fragile heading into this clash.
Kalju’s gameplan can win the day
JK Nomme Kalju play a flexible, front-foot game under Nikita Andreev where they press and make a real effort to win the ball in wide areas, but they can also sit back and absorb pressure when required.
This is not a good fixture for Linfield as Kalju will dominate possession and the Blues will have to soak up pressure and try to strike on the break.
Andreev's men are capable and they do have the tempo and sharpness in wide areas to cause problems when the pace increases, which it inevitably does when teams counterattack.
The hosts' 3-1 away win over JK Nomme United looks a solid base for them to carry on from here and we think a Kalju win with under 3.5 goals is a good bet.
