- Orlando City have shipped 31 goals in their 8 away games in MLS 2026, an average of 3.88 per game.
- San Jose's Preston Judd has 11 MLS 2026 goals, 4 of which have come in their last 8 goals.
- Orlando's Martin Ojeda, with 11 MLS 2026 goals, has 4 of his side's last 11 goals.
San Jose set pace in MLS 2026
San Jose Quakes will look to maintain their pace-setting position in MLS 2026 when they host Orlando City SC at PayPal Park on Thursday.
The Quakes are third in the standings with 32 points from 15 games, while the visitors are 25th with just 14 points.
The odds make no mistake in making the hosts the clear favourites at 1.52 with Orlando the 5.61 outsiders and the draw at 5.14. That's fine by us, as we can find plenty of value elsewhere on this fixture, but it won't be an easy night for Bruce Arena's men.
San Jose have won four of their seven home games in MLS 2026, drawing once and losing twice, and have scored 16 times in that sequence. Orlando's record on the road is a dismal one win, one draw and six defeats with the City Boys shipping 31 goals.
A clash of styles and a clash of form
The home side have been in a bit of patchy form with one win, one draw and three defeats in their last five. But it has been a lively period, as demonstrated by their 2-3 defeat at home to FC Dallas, 2-0 defeat away to Colorado in the US Open Cup and 3-1 win away to Portland.
Orlando arrive off the back of a 4-0 win over Atlanta United in the US Open Cup, but that was followed by a 6-2 away defeat to FC Cincinnati in the MLS. The City have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five with a similar pattern of wins and losses to the Quakes.
Judd vs Ojeda
Bruce Arena has got the San Jose playing with a high-tempo, aggressive game since taking over in January 2025 and their high-intensity man-marking press should make things difficult for Orlando to build their play from the back.
Orlando's coach Martin Perelman has been in charge since March 2026 and he has kept the City playing a pretty pragmatic 4-2-3-1 with structured, selective pressing.
Quakes talisman Preston Judd has 11 MLS 2026 goals and four of his team's last eight, so he will be a big threat to the visitors' defence on Thursday. Orlando are led by Martin Ojeda, who has 11 goals in 15 MLS 2026 games. He also has four of his club's last 11 and, as a result, the Over 2.5 goals line at 1.26 is our main selection here.
The head-to-head advantage is with Orlando, who won away 1-0 when these sides last met in MLS 2024, but we will take San Jose to edge it as we expect Orlando's attacking prowess to ensure this is not a walkover for the home team.
