- Valencia CF have won four of their last 10 matches in all competitions, drawing two and losing four.
- Real Betis are unbeaten in the last two H2Hs, winning once and drawing once (W1, D1).
- Valencia CF are currently averaging 1.50 goals per home game in all current competitions while Betis are averaging 1.33 per away game.
Valencia CF are no longer a fortress
Valencia CF are on a two-game losing streak coming into this Tuesday's LaLiga 2026-2027 clash with Real Betis, after a 1-2 home defeat to Newcastle and a 0-1 loss to CD Teruel. The home team has now suffered three straight home defeats (D0, L3). The home crowd will be happy to see a familiar foe at the other end of the pitch on Tuesday, but Los Che will have a tough time getting a win against a Real Betis side that edged their way to a 2-1 victory when the two clubs last met in LaLiga 2025/2026 six months ago. Carlos Corberan took over as Valencia CF head coach on 25 December 2024 and he has immediately put his stamp on the team, pressing high, hunting turnovers and playing some excellent vertical football on the break. There will be no easy wins for Betis in this game, with Corberan's side more than capable of punishing any loose passes.
Betis should not be underestimated
However, Betis boss Manuel Pellegrini has been at the helm since 1 August 2020 and he has the Verdiblancos playing a brand of patient, controlled football that is based on possession and structure. His side's 4-2-3-1 setup should provide a stern test for Valencia CF's high-risk press, although Los Che's vertical play on the counter can cause Betis plenty of problems.
The visitors are fresh from a 5-match run (W3, D1, L1), although the last two games did result in a pair of 2-2 draws against Bournemouth and a 0-1 defeat away to Inter. Betis' away form in all of their current competitions is the same, with three wins and three defeats (W3, D0, L3), which makes them dangerous but not bulletproof in Spain.
Betis can nick it in a cagey clash
Pablo Fornals has scored two of Betis' last five goals and the late-arrival midfielder can be a real threat to Valencia CF from the middle of the park on Tuesday. The odds for this game are tight, with Valencia CF and Real Betis both 2.58, which tells us that this should be a close-run thing.
Betis have the sharper edge, having won six of their last 10, drawn just once and lost just three. With both teams to score at 1.73 also appealing, we're going with under 2.5 goals at 1.83 for the main selection, as this is sure to be a cagey, tactical scrap that could go either way.
Los Che have averaged 2.0 goals per game across the five H2Hs at Valencia in all of their current competitions, with Betis averaging 1.7 goals as visitors. Expect a tight and entertaining affair at Estadio Mestalla, Spain.
