Shelbourne set to dictate terms in Estonian battle
Shelbourne FC start this second leg of the UEFA Conference League Qualification 2026 with a strong advantage following their 5-2 victory over JK Nomme Kalju in the return leg last week.
But it may not be the stroll that the odds suggest for the Irish side, as Kalju are likely to be more desperate and Shelbourne have yet to taste success on the road in any competition this season.
John Russell has given Shelbourne a more structured feel and a bit more control to their style of play since taking over on 13 July 2026. Damien Duff's men were all over the place last season, but the Reds are a much improved unit under Russell.
Kalju can be a handful too

Enrique Esono has been Kalju's livewire so far with two goals from three games to lead the way in the UEFA Conference League Qualification 2026 for his team. Sean Moore has been Shelbourne's sharpest finisher with two from one appearance in this competition and should be a real handful on Thursday.
A goal-fest could be on
