Style clash should make for a tense opening leg
FC Noah Artsakh come into their first leg of this UEFA Conference League qualification 2026 tie with FC Zimbru Chisinau as the clear form team, but that doesn't necessarily mean they will cruise past their Moldovan opponents this Thursday.
Sandro Perkovic has been in charge of Noah since 1st July 2025 and his team have been playing in a very different style to Zimbru of late. They like to push the tempo, overload the flanks and press their opponents into long periods of defending their goal, which is no way to play when your keeper is under pressure.

Their most recent results in Super Liga 2026/2027 have been a 4-2 defeat away at Sheriff Tiraspol and a 1-1 draw at home to Real Sireti, which is hardly a sequence to make you believe that Zimbru will win this tie. Across all competitions, they have been steadier than sparkling with four wins, three draws and three defeats in their last ten.
Noah will make their mark in Moldova
On paper, this should be Noah's day, but Zimbru's steel at home suggests it could be scrappy and tense before the class of Noah tells. Across all competitions, the Armenian side are flying with four wins and two draws in six away games and they will not fear a potentially hostile Zimbru Stadium on Thursday.
Noah have already scored 17 goals on the road in 2026, which is a serious return in all competitions. Zimbru have scored an average of 2.40 goals per game and conceded just 0.80 at home across all competitions this year, so they can get on the scoresheet and make Noah break them down.
