Stephan Helm’s side have the edge
Austria Wien got the upper hand in UEFA Conference League Qualification 2026 with a solid 2-1 victory over Beitar Jerusalem and will be looking to maintain that advantage back at Generali Arena.
With four wins and one defeat from their last five matches, Stephan Helm's hosts have a better recent form than the visitors, although Beitar can be tough to beat. The Jerusalem-based outfit have one win, two draws and two defeats from their last five, but the 1-0 away victory at AEK Larnaca demonstrates that they are capable of nicking results on the road.
Helm's men are on the front foot in most of their matches, pressing opponents aggressively and trying to create mistakes higher up the pitch by retaining the ball in a structured way.
Almog Cohen has set Beitar up to be a more disciplined, compact side and will bank on organisation, counter attacks and set-piece opportunities to get his team through. That should create a classic press versus block contest at Generali Arena, but if the visitors sit too deep, Austria Wien's tempo and control should create problems.
Best bet could be to oppose the odds
Austria Wien are favourites for Thursday's match at 2.26, but that is probably on the short side in their favour when you consider Beitar have won three, drawn one and lost just one of their five away matches in all competitions.
There is also a case to be made for both teams to score and over 2.5 goals, as Austria Wien are in goal-scoring form with nine in five home matches this term and Beitar are capable of scoring on the counter.
But our selection is to oppose the favourites to continue their winning momentum in the tie by taking Beitar Jerusalem to avoid defeat in the draw no bet market. They should at least have enough to hold onto the result.
