- Como have won 2 of the last 3 meetings between the clubs in Serie A, losing the other, including a 6-0 win in Serie A 2025/2026.
- Como have won 3, drawn 1 and lost 1 of their 5 away trips in Serie A 2026/2027 and are one of the sharpest away teams in the league.
- Torino have won 3 of their last 5 Serie A 2026/2027 games (1 draw and 1 defeat), and are on a two-game winning streak coming into this.
Stadium has been a fortress for I Lariani
Like their city namesakes, Torino have not been the best team in Italy's top flight this season, but they've been in good form over the last few weeks and should be a real handful for Calcio Como on Tuesday night.
The bookmakers have this one priced with I Lariani the 1.75 favourites and Toro a 4.5 outsider with the draw available at 3.6. However, the visitors have been the better team in Serie A 2026/2027, sitting fifth with 14 points from seven games to Torino's 10th place haul of 10 points from the same number of fixtures. But it's a long way home from here and there are plenty of reasons to believe the home side can take something from this clash.
Firstly, Como have won three of their five away trips in Serie A 2026/2027 (Drawn 1, Lost 1). They've conceded just six goals in these five away fixtures, which shows how hard they are to crack on the road. Secondly, Como have beaten Torino in each of the previous two meetings between the sides and it was 6-0 to the visitors in their home matchup in Serie A 2025/2026, so there's a psychological advantage for I Lariani.
Como can win, but a draw is possible
Ignazio Abate's side have been in fine form of late with wins over Udinese (2-1 home) and Parma (3-0 away) in their last two games. But Cesc Fabregas' Como will be a completely different proposition to the likes of Parma and they will be looking for a response after last week's 3-2 defeat at Feyenoord in the UEFA Champions League League Phase 2026/2027.
That game was not all plain sailing for Como, who had to withstand a couple of late surges from the hosts. And that has been the theme of this season so far, with I Lariani winning two, drawing one and losing two of their last five. But they bounced back well from a disappointing 0-0 draw at home to Roma with a 3-1 away win over Fiorentina, so there is a strong away record for this team.
The clash of styles here is a classic battle between a team that wants the ball and another that wants to take it off you. Fabregas' team are an expansive, possession-based team with a high line and tight pressing traps, while Abate has Toro set up from a compact back three with an aggressive press and fast vertical breaks. It will be a chess match in midfield and one that the away side could win.
Toro are a touch fragile at home
Torino have won just one and lost two of their three home fixtures in Serie A 2026/2027, so they still appear a little fragile at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. But as they come into this game on a bit of a roll, it should be a tight contest and perhaps the best angle is to take the BTTS - Yes at 1.65. Torino average 1.00 goals scored and 1.67 conceded at home, so this should open up at some stage, which is fine by both teams as both will get their opportunities to land a decisive blow.
Che Adams leads Torino's Serie A 2026/2027 scoring chart with two goals in three games, but he is the only real finisher that Abate has at his disposal. In the same position for Como, Anastasios Douvikas is the most likely source of joy with his two goals in five games. Sandro Kulenovic has chipped in with a pair in his last five Torino appearances, however, so he gives Abate another forward who can punish any sloppy defending on Tuesday.
