- Real Madrid have won four of their last five games in all competitions.
- Elche have won none of their last five matches (D2, L3).
- Los Blancos have won one of the last two head-to-head meetings and were 4-1 winners in the last encounter in LaLiga 2025/2026.
Franjiverdes feeling the pinch
Real Madrid should justify their odds-on price for Tuesday's LaLiga 2026-2027 clash against Elche at Estadio Martinez Valero, where Los Blancos will be expected to secure all three points.
Los Blancos have nine points from four games, putting them 3rd in the LaLiga 2026/2027 standings, while Elche have claimed one point from their first four games and sit 19th in the table.
Martín Anselmi has done a great job at Elche since taking over on 1st July 2026 and the Franjiverdes are a well organised and structured 4-3-1 team that press collectively and always try to play through the lines rather than around the box.
They can make the game very tough for any opponent on their day and they've got some good individual talent, particularly in Fer Nino, who is their leading LaLiga goalscorer with two goals from four appearances. He has also provided two of Elche's five goals in their last five fixtures, so he will be a big danger to Los Blancos.
Mbappe’s brilliance to ensure Los Blancos get the better
Tete Morente is Elche's creative spark, he has provided two assists from his four LaLiga games this term and will have a big part to play on Tuesday, but Real Madrid's players have more star quality to fall back on, particularly talisman Kylian Mbappe.
The Frenchman has four LaLiga goals in four matches and has three goals in his last five appearances, which should give him the edge in this match, although it might be a tight contest.
José Mourinho has clearly instilled some much needed rigour in Real Madrid since his appointment on 1st July 2026 and Los Blancos have become a much more compact, disciplined and ruthless unit in transition.
They have had one minor setback in four league games, but bounced back well with a 4-0 home win over Malaga CF and a 2-1 Champions League win against Internazionale Milano last time out.
Real Madrid have won one and lost one of their two away LaLiga 2026/2027 games so far, scoring 1.00 goals per game and conceding the same average. Elche have one point from two home LaLiga 2026/2027 matches so far (D0, L2) and have scored 1.00 goal per game, which hasn't been enough to keep them in the game.
That's why Los Blancos should just get the win, although 1/4 is a bit skinny for the visitors and 8/1 on Elche and 19/4 on the draw are both way too big to be of any interest.
A 1X2 away win or Real Madrid to win and under 3.5 goals looks the way to go here as this will be a game where the visitors try to absorb the pressure of the home side, while Mbappe's sharpness should be enough to get Elche on the back foot at some point. Over 2.5 goals is 9/25 and Both Teams to Score - Yes is 67/100, which also gives us confidence that Real Madrid can take control of this game.
