- Sevilla FC have won 3, drawn 1 and lost 1 of their last 5 games, arriving here on the back of a 1-0 home win over Valencia.
- FC Barcelona are 5-0 in their last 5 matches, arriving here on the perfect run.
- Raphinha has 6 goals in 4 LaLiga 2026/2027 appearances for FC Barcelona.
FC Barcelona are the clear favorites at 2/5
Barça have a 5-match winning streak and are 2 points ahead of Sevilla at the top of the LaLiga 2026/2027 table. The visitors are the rightful favourites here, but with odds that are a tad short given that Sevilla are a solid side. As a result, the draw at 441/100 is a much bigger price than it should be and I'll be steering clear of that for the reasons laid out in the main analysis.
Sevilla arrive here in mixed form (W3, D1, L1) after a 1-0 home victory over Valencia last time out. Luis Garcia's team are pragmatic in that they play a 4-2-3-1 or a compact 4-4-2 when needed, but they will make this a tough game for Barca with their vertical play and counter-pressing game. In LaLiga 2026/2027 they average 1.33 goals per-match at home so far, so they will need to be sharp in transition if they want to keep up with Barca.
Hansi Flick's high line and aggressive press should make this a full-throttle, high-tempo squeeze for Sevilla's build-up play, however, Barca's high defensive line is an opportunity that Sevilla's direct counter-attackers will try to exploit.
Raphinha has been in red-hot form
The visitors arrive here as clear favourites and for good reason, as they are perfect after 4 matches with 12 points on the board (W4, D0, L0) and have scored a staggering 10 goals in their two away matches so far in the Spanish top-flight (5.00 per-match on average). They have won four of the last five meetings with Sevilla, including a 5-2 win in the last edition of this fixture. Barça can beat anyone on their day, but they are a much better side than Sevilla FC at the moment and that's enough for me to take them for the win on Saturday. Sevilla have won two, drawn none and lost one of their three home matches in this LaLiga campaign so Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán hasn't been quite a fortress. Barça have won their two road matches so they can make it a tough night for the home side. Chidera Ejuke is Sevilla's only real threat in the final third with one goal in five LaLiga 2026/2027 games, but Miguel Angel Sierra has chipped in with two of Sevilla's four goals in their last five. As for the Barça goal threat, Raphinha is the headline name. The Brazilian has six goals in four league games and looks in exceptional form.
