- Betting note: The main selection is NOT Both Teams To Score.
- Horsens: AC Horsens are compact and well-drilled as a unit this season.
- Lyngby: Lyngby are structurally sound and can be very tough to beat.
Not much to separate Horsens and Lyngby
With a win, a draw and three defeats in their last five Superliga 2026/2027 fixtures, AC Horsens have shown plenty of grit to fight back but plenty of frailty to fold under pressure. Last weekend's 2-1 win at OB Odense came on the back of two defeats – a 2-0 loss away to FC Midtjylland and a 2-0 defeat at home to Brondby I.F. – which points to Horsens being a decent team who simply lack consistency.
The market here suggests that we're going to get a close contest at Hybel Arena Horsens, Denmark and we agree with that assessment, although both teams to not score looks a much sharper choice than the 1.62 available for both sides to score – YES. De Kongeblå are a slight favorite at 2.4, Horsens are available at a touch of favorite at 2.7, with the draw coming in at 3.5.
Horsens' recent results read 3 wins, 2 draws and 5 defeats across their last 10 matches in all competitions, so they are still losing more than they are winning overall, however Niki Zimling's side are very well drilled. They sit deep, in a narrow 5-4-1 block, and look to spring direct transitions from deep.
Lykke Lyngby could be a long game
Recent form
The visitors arrive on a mixed run of 4 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats across their last 10 games in all competitions, although 1-1 draw at home to FC Midtjylland was much improved on their 2-0 defeat away to Randers FC the previous weekend, and that was itself a much better result than their 2-0 draw with AGF Aarhus the week prior. In short, they come into this clash a little bit steady, but not much of a threat.
Key players
Frederik Gytkjaer has been Lyngby's livewire so far this season with three goals in his last five games, helping to make a total of nine goals for the club, which perhaps gives them the edge in the midfield battle. Casper Winther leads the scoring charts for them with just one goal in four matches in Superliga 2026/2027, which has been a fairly balanced campaign so far.
Stalemate on the cards
We don't see a high-scoring game in this matchup with Lyngby a tactically aware and compact unit who will press selectively and move the ball vertically as opposed to keeping it.
Given that both sides are built to keep it close, the odds for an away win or draw seem to suit this game, while we wouldn't put money on the game to go over 2.5.
- Horsens will drop into a 5-4-1 and spring off direct transitions, so we think this could be a chess match between two teams that like to keep it tight.
- The away side have won three and lost three of their six matches on the road in all competitions this term, but have scored 2.33 goals per game and conceded just 1.50 on average.
